Evaluations and Assessments

Assessment of Sexual Behavior Problems in Children

(Ages 4–12)

This specialized evaluation helps caregivers, treatment teams, and systems understand the nature and context of a child’s sexual behaviors. The process includes developmentally appropriate clinical interviews, behavioral measures, and collateral input to identify whether behaviors are normative, problematic, or trauma-related. Assessments emphasize developmental and environmental factors, family dynamics, and safety planning. Findings guide individualized recommendations to support the child’s healthy development and family stabilization.

Psychosexual Evaluation

(Ages 12–18)

Psychosexual evaluations provide a comprehensive understanding of risk, protective factors, and treatment needs for adolescents who have engaged in, or are alleged to have engaged in, harmful or absuive sexual behaviors. The assessment integrates structured tools (e.g., J-SOAP-II, ERASOR, PROFESOR), psychological testing, interviews, and collateral review. The goal is to clarify risk level, trauma and mental health concerns, and readiness for treatment or reunification. Recommendations are developmentally informed and focus on safety, accountability, and rehabilitation.

Substance Abuse Evaluation

This comprehensive evaluation is a structured assessment used to determine the most appropriate level of care for individuals who have been diagnosed with, or may be at risk of developing, a substance use disorder.
The process typically takes one to two hours and explores multiple aspects of your life and health, including physical wellness, emotional well-being, and environmental factors that may influence substance use and recovery. It examines areas such as current or past substance use patterns, potential withdrawal concerns, co-occurring medical or mental health conditions, cognitive functioning, and recovery environment dynamics. The evaluation also integrates person-centered factors that make each individual’s circumstances unique.
Based on the results, we develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and circumstances, ensuring that care recommendations reflect your strengths, goals, and stage of recovery.
