Individual and Family Therapy

Individual and family therapy at Clarity Counseling and Assessment provides a compassionate space to make sense of experiences, strengthen relationships, and build skills for lasting change. Sessions are tailored to meet each person’s unique goals, often incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems–informed approaches. Common areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, family conflict, emotional regulation, and improving communication patterns. Parent/Family sessions may be incorporated to enhance understanding and support collective healing.

Child-Centered Play Therapy

Play therapy allows children to process their world in the language they know best—play. Through the use of toys, art, and creative expression, children are supported in exploring emotions, developing coping skills, and resolving internal conflicts in a safe and nurturing environment. This approach is often integrated with trauma-informed and attachment-based interventions to address issues such as anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma exposure, or family transitions. Parent sessions are included periodically to support understanding and reinforce growth outside of therapy.

Addiction and Recovery Counseling

Have you been told you have a substance use disorder and are looking for a nonjudgmental, compassionate space to work toward recovery in an outpatient setting? Perhaps you’ve recently completed an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and are ready to step down to individual counseling for continued support. Or maybe you’ve started to notice that drinking or recreational drug use is affecting your life, and you want to address it before it becomes something larger.

At Clarity Counseling and Assessment, our addiction and recovery therapists understand that every journey through addiction and healing is unique. We take a personalized, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, helping you explore your life experiences, challenges, and goals so that we can create a plan that meets you where you are.

In this supportive environment, you’ll be encouraged to gain insight, build coping strategies, and work through the emotions and patterns that contribute to addictive cycles. When needed, we can also help connect you to community-based recovery supports to strengthen your ongoing journey toward wellness.
